lha Situ is situated 15km North of Pemba in the Quirimbas Archipelago.

Ilha Situ Lda owns a portion of the island measuring 104.6745HA. The lodge is located on the water’s edge on the very northern tip of the island with a view across the bay and the moorings for the boats.

Situ Island Resort is a Boutique Eco Lodge that has been operating commercially for over 15 years, catering for local and international guests. Situ has been ranked among the top dive destinations in Africa and featured in two episodes of Inside Angling as an African Fishing adventure location. Situ Island Resort was recently named in the top 5 island resorts in Mozambique.
The resort comprises 8 ensuite chalets; a central building with a restaurant area, a fully equipped kitchen, lounge, bar, manager’s offices; scuba diving center; fishing stores; helipad; staff accommodation and managers’ accommodation.

The only other occupants on the island occupy a small fishing village on the North Western end – where the vast majority of the resort staff come from. The rest of the island is uninhabited.

The resort is completely off-grid with a large Photovoltaic plant providing solar electricity, 2 x Desalination plants providing fresh water, and grey and Back water treatment units. It is fully operational and fully furnished and available immediately.

The island is separated from the mainland by a mangrove swamp and is only accessible by boat or helicopter.
